Acrylic vs Resin Name Plates: Which Should You Choose?

Acrylic is a manufactured sheet: uniform, lightweight and precisely cut. Resin is poured: heavier, deeper and full of movement. Most of our name plates use both — a cast acrylic base for structure, with resin poured over it for depth.

Choose acrylic-forward if you want a crisp, minimal plate with clean edges and consistent colour, especially for office doors where uniformity matters.

Choose resin-forward if you want the plate to read as art: marbling, gold veining and a glassy depth that changes with the light.

For outdoor-facing doors, look for UV-stabilised finishes in either material. Untreated resin can yellow under years of direct sun.
